Continuing on with our little series, here’s how you can stamp and cover chipboard with ink!

What You’ll Need:
- Chipboard
- Pigment Ink (like SU!’s “Craft”)
- Stamps
- Optional Heat Tool (for the impatient)
To create the centerpiece for my card above, I first began by covering my chipboard with Whisper White Craft ink, like so:

I started by smooshing the chipboard into my ink pad. I also scraped the chipboard off the side of the ink pad in places where the smooshing wasn’t enough and didn’t cover the whole surface.
Next comes the step that will try your patience–you have to wait for it to dry! It’ll take awhile. And you might even need to add a second coat of ink, especially when using a light color, like white.
You could ink up all your pieces before you go to bed so that they’ll be ready and waiting for you first thing in the morning. Or, if you just can’t wait, try carefully applying some hot air to your chipboard with an embossing heat tool.
Next, get out your stamps and some more pigment ink, like so:

And stamp away! My idea for this card was simple, so all I needed was a greeting:

Poof! Done! It’s that simple.
I added a bit of complexity to it all though–I decided that I didn’t like the flat look of the pigment ink, so I covered the whole surface of the scalloped circle with a layer or two of clear embossing powder. But you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out more about that… tomorrow’s post will be on Embossed Chipboard!
Until then, happy stamping!

This looks like a frosted cookie - yum!
