Tutorial Tuesday - Reverse Engineered Watercoloring

Ooo. I bet you are wondering what sort of technique this could be… Isn’t that an interesting title?
Here’s a card that I made for my father-in-law’s birthday this weekend:

Here’s the basic idea behind this card: I knew that I wanted to create a water-logged look for this palm tree. I [...]

And the Winner is…

Hey… it’s not Monday, is it? Oops! Hope you had a happy holiday weekend! Can you tell that I had a restful one? Hee hee…
This week’s winner is Sharon (who said that she’s not an ice cream person) but she mentioned another love of mine—coffee! So, I’ll let her keep her goodies. Congratulations, Sharon! I’ll [...]

Friday Freebie - Aunt Sally’s Posies

Well, the USPS has killed the Friday Freebie. At least for a little while…
They’ve raised their rates and they also now consider what I would call a package to be a “parcel” and thus my costs went up from 39 cents to $1.30! Gee, thanks.
So on that note, here is this week’s Friday Freebie, [...]

The Caruso Manner

I had the pleasure of designing a banner for a brand new blog, The Caruso Manner (I bet Allison doesn’t even know about this one yet!).
Jan Marie has only just started and already she promises to have a ton of inspiration to share with us. Stop by for a peak at her new banner [...]

Tutorial Tuesday - Embossed Paper Piecing

So, for a long time I’ve been wanting to write about Paper Piecing. That’s where you stamp a image on white cardstock then stamp it again on patterned paper, cut out the patterned paper and affix it to the white cardstock. (It’s especially cute when it’s done to make a dress!)
But I’ve been thinking and [...]

And the Winner is…

Cheryl Kelly-Van Domelen! Congratulations! I will be sending you an e-mail to get your address.
So today I thought I’d share this beautiful card from Allison of Stampin’ When I Can:

Five pink floral embellishments, each with a silver brad
One yard green gingham [...]

A Bit Dotty… for Etsy

Scallops and white dots—all the rage! Here’s a card I recently made for my Etsy shop:

I just love the simplicity of this card, which really shows off the cute little dimensional flip flops. And the dots on the tag are about the easiest thing you can do with a Signo pen. Don’t they look great? [...]
