Here’s a fun little technique! Don’t you love how the stamp mimics this Basic Grey paper?

Here’s what you’ll need:
- White cardstock
- Clear or White embossing powder and embossing tools
- Sponge
- Ink
Begin by stamping and embossing an image on white cardstock. Next, take a sponge and begin to apply ink to the cardstock, like so:

Finish it off by giving it a good coat of ink, wiping any excess ink off of your embossed image. After I finished inking my cardstock, it reminded me of the “Scarlet’s Letter” collection by Basic Grey, so I paired the two up. A sweet little card!
Well, I hope you enjoy trying this little technique for yourself! As always, happy stamping!

Thank you so much for your tutorial! I so how have forgotten this technique and its a great reminder.
Love it. How did you get the edges the way they are?
I swiped them on the edge of my Stampin’ Spot.
Thanks for the tutorial, I will definitely have to try this.

Great job Nicole, I love this technique. It looks awesome when used with the polished stone technique as well. But I love your card with the swiped edges. You rule.
Great technique, Nicole! Thanks!
