July is almost at an end! How did that happen?
So, have you been planning away? (I’m leading the whole campaign and I feel like I haven’t done a thing… so don’t feel bad if the answer’s no.)
Well, I do have some more ideas. (I always seem to have lots of ideas.) And I love to share! So here are some final thoughts to wrap up “Christmas in July.”
- If you haven’t already done so, make a list and check it twice. Keep it in a safe place where you won’t loose track of it.
- Go to the library and check out a slew of Christmas craft books. Chances are you’ll have your pick of the best, since it’s only July.
- Set a weekly goal for the next several weeks. Something like “I will knit a little bit every weeknight” or “I will stamp ten cards a week.” Reward yourself with chocolate.
- Skip the stamps and ink and make your own photo-card from digital supplies.
- When all else fails and you find you can’t have a “Homemade Christmas,” do your shopping on Etsy. (Be sure to start early so you don’t give a seller a panic-attack.)
As for ideas on what you can make, here are a few:
- Hand-stamped Cards (think “stationary set”)
- Food Baskets (think “an ensemble from Trader Joe’s“)
- Spa-like Delights (think “homemade bath salts”)
- Something Knitted (think “quick and easy scarf”)
- Homey Candles (think of the lovely smells)
- Altered Items (think “cheap picture frames”)
- Family Calendars (think of those new SU! clipboards)
- Mini-Albums (think “Grandma’s Brag Book in Basic Grey”)
I could go on… but that’s a good start.
So what are you waiting for? There are only 150 days until Christmas! Let’s get crafty.

This is a great idea. I just happen to take the day off from work for home work day, as well as, personal time off. I haven’t began your “challenge” but I am going to. Fun, finally something I feel like doing. I think this will help my crafter’s block.
