A few weeks ago I came to a startling revelation: I don’t enjoy cardmaking… and I’m not sure if I ever really did!

Shocking, I know, coming from someone who runs a blog all about rubber stamping and cardmaking! But I think I was able to deceive myself for so long because I do enjoy teaching and sharing the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way with others. I won’t go into all my varied feelings here (if you care to read more about what led to all this, you can visit my personal blog: here and here), but it’s a bit like a weight has been lifted by just getting these feelings out. Well, not quite yet, because I haven’t told you guys…

So, what does this mean for the Inkblog? Well, I certainly won’t be deleting it. It’s full of information and it’s meant to a resource for people to come to again and again. So, in a week I will be replacing the current posts on the front page here with a copy of the Site Index. You will be able to access all the posts through the Index or by browsing through the Categories (over there on your right).

If you’d like to keep up with me personally, I will still be rambling on about all my various creative pursuits (and a little bit of life stuff, too) on my new blog. It’s my one place to talk about anything and everything I like (including new cards, if the urge strikes me). And I will also be very busy working on my digital freebie blog as well. I hope I see you around!

Thanks for all your support over the years! When I first started Inkblots, I was the only one blogger I knew of that was talking about tips, tutorials and techniques. Now, as you can tell from Allison’s long lists, everyone is doing it. You guys will be just fine without me. I’ll leave the tutorials to the people who have a passion for it! Enjoy them. And happy stamping!

So, I came home from vacation to discover that I had actually won a contest I entered! Here’s the proof:

These cute stamps are from Inque Boutique. They sent me a set of 14 rubber “cling” stamps. These stamps will stick to acrylic blocks (or the plastic lid they came in if you’re terribly disparate and you don’t own an acrylic block).

One nifty feature I loved about these stamps: they have the image printed on the back side (the sticky side) so that you can see it perfectly when you stamp! Here’s a photo (borrowed from Inque’s website, since my own was so bad!) to show you just what I mean:

Isn’t that fabulous?!

Something tells me I need to stop saying that I never win anything… because I’ve won three different give-aways this year! I’m so thankful…

By the way, did you notice that this is a real picture here? Taken with a camera? I’m still working out lighting issues and figure out what certain buttons do… but I’m so happy to be able to take pictures again!
